> I started teaching out of the garage eight years ago and moved into the old joinery on Tuwharetoa Street not long after. Most weeks it is still just me, a kiln, a set of silversmithing tools and whoever has booked in.

## Common questions

- **Do I need any experience** no, most people booking in have never touched clay or silver before
- **How long until my pottery is ready** glazed pieces go through two firings and take 3-4 weeks, we will text you
- **Can I collect my jewellery on the day** yes, rings and pendants are finished and polished before you leave
- **What should I wear** clothes you don't mind getting clay on, closed shoes for the silversmithing bench
- **Do you run private group bookings** yes, hens groups and birthdays most weekends, six is the largest group we take

## About

The building used to be a joinery workshop and still has the old sliding door we prop open in summer. There is one wheel, one kiln out the back, and a silversmithing bench by the window that gets the afternoon light off the lake.
